    Yeah, that'd help...$1650.

I can send pics to anyone interested, but my phone & my laptop are not currently on speaking terms.

    I'm in Nashua, NH.

    1997 Sport

Selling my XJ. :( Red 97 Sport 4.0/auto, 208K miles, cold A/C (evap & heater cores replaced last year), about half tread on tires. Cloth seats, carpet, crank windows, stock Am/FM/cassette, full...

Re: 97 went dead without warning

Weird...it was the fuel pump wire shorting to ground and popping the fuse. Strange.

Will a bad crank sensor make the gauges not work?

Re: 97 went dead without warning

It cranks and cranks, but won't start. Don't see how a bad NSS would make the gauges act weird and the engine stall. The CEL did NOT come on at any point.

    97 went dead without warning

Weird...on the hiway, and it just stalled. All the gauges stayed where they were (showing 50mph & ~1700rpm), now show.nothing with the key on. Err...help?

WTB: Class 3 hitch for XJ

I know it's a long shot...but worth a shot. Jeep is a 1997 XJ, need a 2" receiver that (unlike my current hitch) is not a mass of corrosion.

Up front, haven't decided which side (clutch or electric fan) yet. But...I don't think I want one that thick. :(

The 678, OTOH, is 11x9.5x3/4"...should be less restrictive. But it only claims a...

It's no lower than the stock airbox...I do not do water crossings & do not live in a flood-prone area. (If there's any chance of a water crossing, I'll take my F350 or my wife's K-5 Blazer.) ...

    K&n fipk

Heard from several people they are worth power and mileage. (I'm inclined to believe it, the stock setup looks awful.) Anyone here running one...if so: how do you like it?

    Camshaft type

OK, I have searched and didn't find an answer. So, I will ask here: I assumed, being a relatively modern (1991, revised in 1996) engine that the 4.0 HO has a roller camshaft. Err...does it? Mine...
