    I don't know why but in the owner's manule it said for better mileage to set the air flow to the defrost. Maybe the A/C just doesn't run as long when on defrost.

    try taping on the key with a screw driver handle the sidebar in the lock cyl. is sticking and yes you will need to replace it. It will be a lot easyer if you can steel turn it.
