  1. Re: Any body use an electronic speedometer calibrator?

    Actually I'm trying to put a 40T in. 4:88 gears 33" tires.
  2. Re: Any body use an electronic speedometer calibrator?

Normally you slap the new gear on the VSS and pop it in the transfer case tail shaft housing then rotate it to the marked position for your gear. It meshes with the worm gear on the tail shaft and...
  3. Any body use an electronic speedometer calibrator?

I've tried and failed to put a 40 tooth speedometer gear into my Atlas.
I'm going to try one of the inline electronic calibrators and was hoping some one has tried one of them.

If you stepped the bottom to a smaller size you could hold big cups and small beers.

Re: So where do XJ's leak rainwater?

Water is coming in around the screws that hold my roof rack slides on. It drains down inside the "B" piller and collects on the rear passenger floor pan.

Yep. That's where I tapped my box. There are several write ups I looked at before I tapped my box. The bottom port is the hardest one. You ether hit or you don't and I hit mine dead center.

Has any body done ram assist, I need help

Before I replaced my steering box I drilled and tapped it for ram assist. I bought a PSC 1-1/2" cylinder kit.
With the XJ jacked up, tires in the air and the ram rod-end loose from the tie rod, the...

    Re: Stock Bumpstops?

My XJ wasn't stock when I got it. My old F150 only had 2" of up travel until the stops hit. I vote for the shocks being bad.

Why being inside the coil a bummer? I know a longer track bar, closer to the length of the draglink is better but is it causing problems for you?

    Re: Yep, Driveline Angles

Did you have the DS checked for balance yet.
You might try large hose clamps on the drive shaft. Put one on and move it around between test drives until the vibrations get less.
