I think I just figured it out. You guys are looking at the Phantom 2. I'm looking at the Phantom 1.1.1. That's the $500 vs $800.

I've been looking at the DJI Phantom 1.1.1 to put our GoPro on. It has GPS, position hold, return home, and programmable route capability. Seems like a pretty well set up package out of the box.
