Here is the latest..... I found a gear $100, no cases in my area. So I think it will work out even. I just had the case apart to do the SYE, so no oil in it and it should come apart easy.

Question 1, what years do the spline counts change? Reason.... My 93 build has a 242, I have a 231 that I just re-built with a SYE. After removing the 242, I see the 242 is 23 spline, the 231 is a 21...
