Grease doesn't really go with bushings. were the mounting holes in good shape? lots of things can create a wobble. May or may not need a TB, you're just kinda throwing parts at it. "mechanic...

sounds like a waste of $$ to me. maybe repair the bushings in your current track bar? look for ovals where there were once circles on both TB mounting points.
