Replaced lower half of distributor assembly yesterday. No more chirping.
OK since I would *never* use WD40 (It's not a lube but that's another topic) per se for much of anything, I sprayed a bit of graphited "Lock Ease" spray lube into the distributor shaft and after a...
702,
If it is in the distributor, is that bushing servicable or would I have to get a new
assembly?
I'll have to take it all off again for pics, and borrow a camera...
I see that teamcherokee.com sells the crank balancer/pulley and they do note that the rubber does wear out. Good prices on that...
Just compared with a coworker's XJ - my brand new grooved pulley is wobbling
Now off to contact a stealership for that "special" bolt
Well the wiper started working again on it's own today...
Still confused about the fuses, oh well
My 96 RHD's fuse panel appears to be different than domestic/OEM;
Where the #1 fuse is in the domestic, the one in mine is a metal-cased "circuit breaker" fuse
Anyone got a fuse diagram for RHD's?
Just replaced both idler pulleys (but not the bushings/inserts) to do some elimination...
The grooved pulley has some strange "spoked" plastic insert that appears to be permanently attached to the...
Off topic, but that extra "O2" sensor I found was apparently a heat sensor for the EU market or something... got rid of it, new cat installed today, no more rattle!
I'm beginning to think I have a...
The dealer converter has only one port on it, plus it's 580 dollars . Looks like I'm off to find someone with some good welding skills.
Computer pick up? So what does it tell the computer to do?
BTW, the number on the old sensor was the same as the new one
It all looks like factory wiring to me too, the only thing I see aftermarket...

Here's the link in RockAuto.. don't know why there's so much discrepancy?
I do have a '96.
What's weird is that RA...
Jeep stealership says 33004281 :)
Guess the last guy I called was a newbie
case closed
Just looking for that sensor part number that's on the tstat housing :)
After changing my thermostat last week, I noticed the temp sensor on the housing was different (bigger) than the one on the back of the valve cover, maybe I'll give it a swap, I'm still getting...
Oh, I was assuming the one on the housing was different. Interesting. Mine's all gauges for oil and temp though.
I may just leave the front alone for now - my temp goes to 3/4 and goes back to 1/2...
Trying to find the correct sensors -
Oil pressure switch
and
Temp sensor that is on the side of the TStat housing (I notice in the
parts catalog there is an optional plug for the one on the...
