    I would still look at the coolant temp sensor, the one by the tstat housing

    Unless you get a total failure, there is no way for the PCM to measure the O2 for function. All it sees as data. The heaters fail, as in open circuit, then it triggers a light. Since you didn't...

    Not sure on this. If the O2 heater malfunctions, you should get a check engine light
