Wayne, just a suggestion. The Mighty Mite has a vent hose on the master cylinder to the air cleaner. Makes it completely waterproof. You would need one for each part. Might be handy for water...

Master cylinder is not so hot now. Just a suggestion, take it off and take it apart. Just a couple of bolts and a snap ring. Pull the guts out and clean up everything with brake cleaner. ...
