Yeah the one I have doesn't have mounting brackets that long either. It's a 6 bolt instead of an 8 bolt. I never thought about cutting the bolts flush, but I don't think that would work on mine......

Trailer hitch looks like it's from a ZJ. Mine has the same problem with exhaust routing and the shackle bolts being so close to the ends of the hitch tubing. Not a big deal, I made it work too, but...
