    Re: Mystery problem involving air

Easy fix to see if it is indeed the CCV (I also have a CCV on my 49 state 1994 XJ). This comes direct from Haynes:

With the engine RUNNING, remove the hose to the CCV and determine if there is a...

    Flutter/Rough Idle

So my XJ has had the most annoying, tiny, rough idle for the past few months and I can't fathom why. Runs fine (although the hole in the exhaust causes terrible gas mileage and is NOT the cause of...

Re: A/C delete?? help new member!

If it chatters, it is indeed the bearings. Simple to replace since the old clutch will still usually fit on it if it hasn't been too damaged. I can't say buying and idle pulley will help in the long...

If your compressor is seizing, it's gone. It needs to be replaced. The difference between a compressor and the PULLEY seizing though is that the bearing on the pulley goes out OR the bearing in the...

Re: Won't start on 1st crank

The testing you're seeing on the PSI gauge is known in the auto industry as a "leak down" test. Leak down happens when an injector or multiple injectors or the fuel pressure regulator have gone bad...

Re: What did you do to your jeep today?

Been gone for a few months working on my life and my ride. Red has been pretty good since I did all my work on her. So here's a list of the things I did in the past 4 months:

The sensors may be slightly off on the voltages they give out. Between .5v-4.5v is normal but lets say the voltages coming from the sensors are slightly higher .7 or so. The computer is getting the...

Honestly, the best fuel system cleaner you can get is Lucas FSC. Lucas uses a base formula that mimics gasoline so it burns better and isn't bad for your car. It is made thicker so it coats...
