Re: Shocks first, then springs, vice-versa?

Haha yeah no it shouldn't be a huge deal. Just as long as they have more extended length then the stock shocks. Cause the stock ones when just driving on the pavement are alright, cause you're not...

Re: Shocks first, then springs, vice-versa?

No usually it won't work like that. Unless the ZJ coils at the top are a way larger diameter you should be able to use your XJ coil spacers. The coil spacers are just a big puck that slides around...

Re: Shocks first, then springs, vice-versa?

    @packmule
This is a video for the bastard pack using the S-10 leafs. It's super useful. This is what I was going to follow when I was going to do my bastard pack. And I had my 3 inch lift in the...

Re: Shocks first, then springs, vice-versa?

I agree with this. My 3 inch lift didn't get me too many vibes. Yes there were some and yes they were noticeable but nothing too bad. Nice thing with lifts is (most the time) you can pick and choose...

Re: Shocks first, then springs, vice-versa?

If you're only going three I might have Springs you could grab from me. I think they are Rancho 3 inch lift Springs, just pulled them off my xj cause I'm doing a 4.5 inch lift and don't know what to...

Re: New 4.5 Rubicon Express lift!

Yeah I haven't looked at it to see angles but it looks pretty good. Probably going to start a build thread for mine so I don't hi jack anyone's thread haha. But it looks pretty close to being good,...

Re: New 4.5 Rubicon Express lift!

Don't know if you got your answer and don't mean to revive a (kind of) old thread but yes you do have to worry about driveline angles and all that fun stuff. Currently putting this lift on my '95

    Re: Valve cover

I never use rtv, and normally what I do to torque it is get all the bolts snug in an even pattern then tighten them to you see a slight, and I mean slight bulge in the gasket by the bolts.

Re: LED off road lighting discussion

So these were the ones I was thinking about when I said the new series (which they are newer but not the newest ones that you were talking about) . I like the new series but like it says in the...

Yeah that is true. I forgot those ones are for like 100 mph+. I think the series under that one also has the same reflectors in it but the chips they use pull less wattage.

Re: LED off road lighting discussion

Hmm yeah oh okay. I think i read somewhere that they can do 30 degree if you ask. I will have to ask them that. Cause that is odd. I wonder why the difference

Re: LED off road lighting discussion

Is that on their combo lights or what version? And I think you can call and talk to them and get 30 degree optics. Their newest line is awesome. Uses similar optics as a rigid instead of the normal...

Re: LED off road lighting discussion

So to throw something into the mix. I will preface with I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS BRAND, NOR DO I HAVE ANY AFFILIATION WITH THEM... Now that that's out of the way, I have been wanting to try a brand...
  15. Re: Don't you hate that "Chuuby hole" in the back.

Yeah most higher end subs will need much more volume than you can get out of that cubby. Also some advice when you are putting dynamat , cut a piece the size of your license plate and glue/attach it...
  16. Re: Don't you hate that "Chuuby hole" in the back.

I could see why. I have a sub (not in the cubby) and the whole back panel on my xj vibrates like crazy. Also couldn't see that being a big enough enclosure to get decent sound out of a sub...

Re: 2001 xj track bar install

Also I don't think you can edit your XJ Talk profile data from Tapatalk. I to use Tapatalk and tried but to no avail. You will have to go online (outside of Tapatalk) and edit your profile on the...

Re: 2001 xj track bar install

Not sure if you still need help but you can definitely turn the wheel to align the axle. Did this on my xj when I replaced my track bar after having ridiculous amounts of death wobble. It's more...

    Re: Upgrading under hood light?

Yeah totally understand. I should be doing mine in a couple of weeks, if you want me to do a write up I can. Same for my dome lights that I did with the KC Hilites cyclone lights. Would be the same...

    Re: Upgrading under hood light?

In the 95 that dome light has a rivet holding on the lightt "circuitry", so it can be drilled out and I made a backing olate with strap and riveted back into place. Then tabbed a metal cover for it....

    Re: Upgrading under hood light?

A mod that I want to do that is similar to these is get three KC Cyclone LED ( http://www.kchilites.com/lights/cyclone.html ) lights and run them the same way. More expensive but the brightness is...
