    They are very old, lots of weather cracking but the tread is really good so that's why I never changed them.

    not really, imagine that plate with the 4 holes cut in half. Then weld the skinny side to the hitch so the bolt holes line up 2" apart. I don't have the hitch here atm otherwise I'd take a picture...

    Update. All is fine now. The new switch was defective and has since been replaced with another new one. All of my lights work and no more fires. :)
