I believe mine is the long shaft. Also the sensor housing rotates depending on the tooth count of the gear. Got it colcked right?
Is it the length of the shaft on the gear giving you problems. There is a short and long shaft
So you need to get another drive gear?
My 231 speedo sensor worked perfectly in mine. But it is all mechanical
