Welp, I spent a few hours under my XJ trying to replace the cat, muffler and tailpipe and was thwarted by rusted bolts at the cat flange.
Everything else is going to be replaced with new hardware...

After going cross-eyed looking, that appears to be the case. What was the rationale behind removing the valve? Thoughts on getting a JY one or new one and putting it back?
So the mystery deepens. I cannot for the life of me find the place for that hose.
It was about 1/4 full when I messed with it. I emptied what as left of a bottle of washer fluid in but it didn't even bring it up to half. Once I get some more fluid I will have to check.

Yeah - I was pulling the underhood light to repair/replace it and saw that was disconnected so I plugged it back in.... and the low washer light came on. Unplugged.

It's the gray hose that leads down and into the firewall.
All - This weekend I decided to de-grease my engine bay. After I was finished I noticed a now clean hose apparently disconnected.
I have no idea what it is and the Jeep runs fine.

How difficult was changing it over to R134? Did you do it yourself and then have a shop fill the system?
My 92 has "R-12" right on the compressor housing.
