Now that I've finished school, I need to get back into studying. I made a deal with my wife that she would take the tech exam when I take the general exam. The collapsible yagi is a smart idea.

What I need is that capability when I'm not in Fairbanks. Cell coverage goes to crap just a few miles outside city limits.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what the BF-9500 can do. If like something like the uv5ra with more power, a remote faceplate for better mounting options, and cross band capability. Oh and APRS...
