This Christmas is going to be hard

Thanksgiving certainly wasn't easy since my mom passed away in October, but December 15th was my mom's birthday. I bought her a card anyways, just because I felt like I needed to. This Christmas is my daughter's first Christmas and my wife really wants it to be special and for me to try to be happy and excited. This won't be a very easy task. She keeps commenting that I just seem so depressed.... and well, I guess I am. I know my mom would want me to be happy and enjoy the holidays, but it's just so difficult. Especially when I think about my dad. I know he still cries just about every single day. December is always going to be hard for him with mom's birthday on the 15th, Christmas, then their anniversary on the 26th.

I guess I'm asking for prayers for my dad to help ease his pain. He is just the most wonderful man I've ever known. I just want him to not hurt anymore.

I feel your pain. Last Christmas eve my mom didn't know me, she died 2 days later. Taking care of my dad now, he's 89. Just know they're in a better place. Sorry for your loss.
