Teaser till I can recover the photos I took of the run. Having an issue getting the photos off my camera, but I borrowed this one of my rig.

Thanks! Always makes me feel proud when I see a XJ doing what it was meant to do with a xjtalk sticker on it.

I was very proud to be sporting my sticker and getting over every hard part we did without having to be winched up. :D

Maybe the other guy with an XJ in my group will visit the site.

This has been the first time I wheeled it since I had the gears and lockers installed back in May. I went with an easy group just to get used to it and see what I was able to do. I'm moving up to the medium run groups next time as the majority of the group I was with were first timers and even though I knew their stock/modified rigs could handle some of the trails we did or bypassed they just weren't comfortable with their rigs to even try it, which was a real shame.

Because I can't link photos directly from flickr I'm uploading them to my photobucket account so I should have some up tomorrow. I would have liked to have gotten more but I was about halfway down the line so I missed the rest of the group.

I think I need to trim a little more on the front fenders.

Hello bump stops.

That is something I need to look at, but the guy I got it from did a somewhat crappy job cutting the fenders so I would like to get the edges folded over and another 1/2" taken out for the fold wouldn't hurt in the front. I don't think I have that option for the rear, but I haven't actually tried stuffing the tires all the way in yet.

I've bump stopped the front, now I need to drop the bumps down a couple of inches in the back and I think I'll be good.

I didn't and that was one I wanted to do while I was there. I did it many years ago with my SJ cherokee, but the videos I saw of it don't look like anything I remember.

There was this guy who provided entertainment - yes he did break an axle shaft in his Dana 35 eventually. I would have liked to have been there to see it first hand.

Tim and Shelby were the gunners, Jeff was leading, if I'm thinking of the right guy, but he was in a maroon wrangler with H2 recovery on the side of the hood. Good people, felt sorry for them having to try and find the trails that the majority of people wouldn't wuss out on.

I'm sure they didn't mind finding the trails so that most people would wheel them... I'm sure they were just happy to get out and wheel with some fellow Jeepers!! Either way it look like everyone had a good time!!
