Bilsteins are worth every penny. I love em on my big 1 ton Jeep. My brother had some on his old cherokee and loved them too!

What ones did you have?

I have just the regular 5100s on my big 1 ton Jeep. They are 255/70 valving or something like that all around which is a good valving for the cherokee as well. My brother use to have the 5150s. Although the 5150s ar nice the extra reservoir is not needed. It is so small that the reservoir isn't gonna do much for us. I guess if you are gonna run all out jumping and flying through bumps then the extra capacity may help some but I wouldn't spend that much. I also got my shocks from Top Gun Customz off ebay. Was the cheapest I found-------------Kyle

okay I am not sure how big your lift is but if you are in the 4" range I'm pretty darn sure Rustysoffroad still has Bilstein 5100 shocks on clearance for 40.00$ a piece plus shipping which made it 50$ per shock. I bought two for my front and holy crap what a difference it made!! Huge improvement off road and on road jeep handles better it doesn't pull as bad from side to side and soaks up bumps better. Honestly I wouldn't waste your money on anyone else but Bilstein! They quality of the shock is amazing compared to DT3000's.. My jeep also had one dead shock on the right front which would explain under hard braking why it pulled to the right. I just need to replace my rears which are going to Bilstein 5100's.
Their is a reason why Toyota uses Bilstein on all of their trucks and SUV's with the off road package.

Would you mind getting measurements for me? Compressed and extended lengths? I have a 4" lift and wondering if these will fit.

I can't find the part number listed on rusty's anywhere on the web that shows the compressed and extended lengths.

Never mind, I ordered up a set anyways. They are 18" collapsed and I'm running a droop setup so these will work. I should have about 3" of uptravel with these.

Just take off the rest of the URL:

http://www.bds-suspension.com

I have a 3.5" lift on my XJ and plan on going to a 4.5" the Bilsteins should be proper length. According to Rusty's they are made for a 4.5" lift

I spoke with them via email about the clearanced shocks. They are 18" compressed, 28.5" extended and listed for 6" lifts. I went out and measured my 4" lift and I can just barely fit them. I would have about 2"-2.5" of shock rod showing. That doesn't give you much uptravel but I don't need that, only droop.

Hey dude I got these shocks too but mine are yellow.
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e73/muddeprived/cherokee/sale/DSCF6719.jpg

It's weird though because the part number for these shocks does not exist.

F4-BE5-6457-H0

Normally when a part is discontinued or no longer made you can still find it on the web but I can't seem to find this part number anywhere. There are the same shocks but with T5 and H5 but no H0 except on Rusty's page. I don't even think these are 5100's either. I emailed Rusty's and didn't get a response and I tried bilstein but couldn't get anyone.

I tried to sell the shocks on a number of forums cuz they were too long for my jeep but no one seems to want to buy them and when they ask for the part number I never hear from them again.

Oh yeah you know what sucks? One shock was missing upper black bushings and the other shock didn't come with a nut (wrong smaller nut was included). I have to press in the bar pins so that hinted to me that these are not jeep shocks. Grrr.....
