I was sleeping on a pair of these. I got around to installing them finally.
And good timing too. My stock bushings fell out in 5mm size pieces. But that's
200,000 miles. Think I'd be that worn as well.
Product came in as show on website and as verbally described.
Over built and could easily be used as a weapon of mass distraction.
These mounts are tough!
Customer service was great. Shipping was fast.
Installation was a P.I.T.A. But I figured it out.
The only vibration I get is at idle. And it's really not
That big of a deal. You can feel the power transfer with these over stock.
100% worth the investment.

I would imagine sleeping on a pair of these might be uncomfortable.. LOL.. But I bet they made a huge difference once they were installed... I am wanting to pick up a set of these for my XJ when I get ready to do a rebuild on my engine... or just to have a way better unit holding my engine in.. Thanks for your review on this great product..

Hey Andy...I have purchased your UCA, LCA's, Track Bar and Tie Rod w/ends and I gotta say...YOU ARE THE MAN! These components have made my XJ the Jeep it is today...ROCK SOLID!!! After almost a year, still perfectly aligned, no shimmy whatsoever...straight as an arrow @ 75 mph. Still never got my stickers though...my XJ's rear windows need an upgrade!

Thanks Andy...as always, a pleasure to deal with you. I also told my daughter's boyfriend about your U/LCA's and Track bar...he's got some death wobble on his JK...any package deals goin' on right now?

ironmanandy

not really running any specials right now. DW on a JK is almost always tire wear. BALANCE THOSE TIRES! you would not beleive how many folks dont beleive that and spend $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and still wobble until they balance their tires... 40.00 later smooth sailing

Got my "IronMan" and "Zombie" stickers yesterday...many thanks! I'll be sportin' those this weekend...BTW James, you won't be disappointed with ANYTHING IronMan Andy puts his name on...VERY HIGH QUALITY...worth every penny! I have IronMan U/LCA's, HD TrackBar and Tie Rod w/ends with 4" of OME upness...my '92 XJ handles every bit as well as a $50,000. new Cherokee! Maybe even better off-road! I've seen some of his competition's stufff...no contest. I am a big fan of IronMan Fab, great customer service as well! Just do it!

I might not be entirely correct on this since I have had neither. But Andy's mounts use the same number of bolts in the engine and raise it up an inch, which if you are inclined to want to use a transfer case drop, you do not have to since the motor mounts take care of that and give you strong bushings. The Browndog mounts use five mounting bolts on the engine, which can be an advantage if you have stripped one and mount the engine at the same height.

Yeah I was actually thinking about this since I was noticing the other day as I was noticing my stock mounts look like they have just about lived their life.. Was thinking of going with the IronMan mounts for the lifted position of the engine.. Will go good with SYE that is on it's way too.... Can't wait to take care of the mounts, as well as the TC drop/SYE isntall...

I don't have experience with Brown Dog mounts, but I do have and LOVE IronManAndy's mounts. He has just come out with brackets that utilize more bolts and are pure beef (just like anything else he makes LOL). I wish he had the brackets when I bought my mounts, but next time... next time ;)

Haha! Yeah Jim, and maybe next time we'll figure out how to do the swap in less than 8 hours! :smiley-laughing021:

I'm not trying to make you spend money, but it's like Tim (BrownDog) said in the interview. Most of his sales are for people that have broken the bosses on the block. I'll just say I'm damn glad I have the mounts on my block.

Yeah, I need to get the brackets from Ironman4x4... and get Timmy to spend another 8-9 hours over in my garage :D

From what Tim (browndog) said just jack up the engine from the pan and change one then the other. I bet it would go quick.

Everything is easy when you're reading the instructions on screen, it's a different story when you're actually out there wrenching on it. :P If there ever is a "next time" my suggestion would be to rent a hoist, raise the engine, and do both mounts at the same time.

But Tim has done a lot of them. Actually I think he said (in the interview) not to use a hoist. Dunno, just trying to help.

Are these the same mounts as a 4 cylinder?
Lucky me I have the two door, four angry squirrels and five speed oddity...

You know? I'm really not sure. Give Andy a call or text, he's always willing to give out his cell number for this exact reason, so I'll give it out for ya 704-796-3502
