When we can afford it I was going to get a 98ish one for my wife. Afterall that is what we went to purchase when we bought the XJ.

The XJ is staying forever, if possible, the TJ would be an addition.

I had a '98 Base sport that I hated to get rid of. I love the XJ but Wranglers on a hot day with no top & no door lifted with the 35" Baja's man it was good times. But street roll over wreaks suck or any wreak in a TJ for that matter. What do you want to know?

How long did you have it? Did you do much to it?

I'm looking for people with good solid experience with them.

Two and half years lifted it 4" with 33"s then added two more for a total of 6" with a SYE busted the D35 twice cause of the 35"s. since you are in Texas you have no worries about sub zero temps than it is OK to get the plastic windows but they get dull quick and you have constantly use a special cream to clear them up. Mine was a very basic 4.0 5speed no a/c no special stuff soft top What else do you need to know?

Nothing else really, just curious about your experience level. I'll have more information about all this later. Thanks.

It was a 2000 TJ 3 spd auto 2.5L -120 hp or so it seemed. :smiley-laughing021:

I had 4.5" on 33's, locked front and rear, sye, adjustable arms f/r, skyjacker coils/shocks, jks trackbars, custom snorkel, winch, etc blah blah blah blah blah.

I miss it....every day.

Very first off road I jumped it and bent the dana 30....lol

OK you have found a couple of TJ guys now lets see what you go out and buy. muddeprived is a real hardcore TJ guy posing as an XJ guy. Trying his best to act grownup, but it leaks out every once in awhile.

Good God man, that's at least 2 feet in the air! I bet you had the "dukes of hazzard" song playing in your head, and pressed the imaginary horn button that sounded the General Lee horn as you jumped! :smiley-laughing021:

I read about this. Totaled it as I recall. All four wheels are bent in at the top and out at the bottom. Full load of people in there for the jump. If it is the same one.
