Lights on. They light the whole inside of the jeep up when the hatch is closed.

These will be real nice camping, fishing, and doing just plain ol anything at night.

I had gotten them forever ago for my gf's old car on sale at AZ for 10 bucks

Pretty cool idea. How much downward light do they give off?

Yeah a pic from inside with the hatch closed would help us see how they light the inside of the Heep.

I was wondering about the ground outside the jeep. I guess the lights could always be mounted inside the hatch pointing down when the hatch is up. Might make a nice place to put a picnic table. Listen to some tunes and have overhead lighting!

They put out a ton of light probably 15 to 20 feet behind jeep. 15 feet wide. The goal was to light up behind the jeep not inside. But you cant tell the windows are tinted when they are on with the hatch closed at night lol.

i will try to get a pic behind the jeep.

and thanks mud i thought it was pretty original. I saw guys put round LED trailer lights facing down (more toward the latch) on the hatch. But i could only find those online and were like 40 bucks and honestly i think these are probably brighter and CHEAPER!!!

Yeah... that's a cool place to mount some "utility" lights... keep'em small to keep the weight down... cool idea.

Nice I was thinking about cutting the hatch for a couple of back up lights. You know make some little boxes under the speakers that way they are not in the way.

That's a great way to get overhead light back there without having a roof rack to mount them on. I used the heck out of the ones on my Trooper's Conn Fer roof rack. The only downside with being under the hatch is the heat and amount of light. Maybe a second set of LED lights for longer term, up close use...

X2 That's a great idea for that. Taking the waders off, or even tying on flies when it gets too dark to see. I've got to do something like that. Cool.

I like it, it look like it would be very convenient when camping indeed... and having the lights inside kind of protect them and allow to get better lighting inside to see better when you look for that sneaky flash light....

Would you be able to give us more info on the wiring ?
