Soooo after a year and a half of dealing with the CRAPPY mud that houston has to offer I was able to get the ole XJ up to dallas for some NORTEX wheeling.
and without further adieu and to ANSWER somebody on another thread asked about REAL life experiences on tires OVER 33''
Heres MY rig doing it on 36" tires on a dana 35 rear and dana 30 front axle...
without a SINGLE problem.

No not yet but seriously man it took TOOOOOO long to build that thing lol if I had seen the outcome of it prior to building something like that I would have done it in three weeks time... DAMN the money part LMAO WELL WORTH the wait it is and AWESOME rig the ONLY thing you should change is the name on the title:D

in all honesty though Ive never seen a "CHUGGY" in person but his cherokee runs so nice but still holds that buggy strength and value while still sporting the creature comforts of a XJ like a stereo ... and NORMAL seats and floor carpet OHHHH and for thsoe who are in the market for a cherokee and DONT have kids... the 2 door ones are VERY wide open I was astonished at the difference in how much room there is to get in...
Anyhow seriously I could go on and on about his chuggy but I need to shut up LOL
P.S. did I mention its AWESOME!!!

Thanks man. Its the same basic platform as my 91 wrangler had. Except this one is longer and stronger. Also has a foot more ground clearance, a foot less height, better approach and departures angles, a 13" longer wheelbase, lower center of gravity, wider wheel base, stronger axles, actual lockers, seats more, hauls more, looks meaner, and best of all was a 10th of the price over all.

What I meant was both were 4.0, ax15, 231 w/sye, d44 front, soa front and rear, locked with 5.xx gears and 38" sx. So they had a lot it common but the Xj pulls it off better and cheaper.

let me rephrase what I meant by 1:1, that 4hi doesnt split the power in anyway.

It is east of Molalla. You can google map it and see where it is. I have been there with my XJ when I first got it about ten years ago. I think the trails have opened up a lot now and are more challenging.
