Well I hope this is in a good spot because it's not really part of my build, not a event, not scenery . . . It's pretty general. ;) If it needs a moving, feel free mods! :p

So I've got a friend ( yes, I actually have em :D) and he and his dad are both into wheeling. They have some pretty nice property back behind their house they have just started to cut some trails into. With all the land closings going on I fear that one day this will be the only way we will get to wheel, on private property. :(

I got out to his place around 6:30 and didn't get home till 9:45 and he only lives about 15mins away! We still didn't get to everything we wanted to run!

Everything there was off camber, on a hill, rocky mix w/ red mud/ clay, a pretty deep creek about 1/8 a mile long with a climb out of it, a really STEEP climb with a STEEP rock climb right in the middle (included a vid of the rock). It's looking to become some really nice trails! I'm / were so excited!

Here are some pics, sorry that they aren't that great. . . It was pretty dark because of the cloud coverage and us being in the woods. I WILL have more to come, Promise!

Pretty nasty washed out rut. Vids to come. . . !

Not so tight for me! :)

In the tight spots, where Sammys really shine.

Yeah, he kept telling me how tight it was back in there! When I got there and started through the trails it was for him, not for me! LOL! A few spots locked front and rear were a little sketch.... I made a few new friends of the leafy kind (trees).

Thanks man! Ya, it's my favorite kind of wheeling also! These trails are going to pretty good within a couple months, plus we keep getting rain!!! Ruts it up pretty nicely!

Ya, I hope to get some more, better pics up soon. Only thing is there doesn't seem to be much interest. :(

Thanks for the link, I'll def check it out later, as for now. . . I'm going to bed. its 2:30am here. :indifferent0020:

Looks like quite a bit of fun... I know that is where the Sammy's will take it from a Wrangler is in tight squeezes like that...

Very nice. I've gotten to take my Samurai out once since having it. Was just mostly service roads, no real playing. I don't really have the power to play yet.
I guess the Carb. float valve took a poop on me so now I've gotta figured out what to do about that. Fun fun!

Well thanks, Hopefully next time we run the property his dad will take his ZJ out and others will Join.

Ya, I've always gotten the "You sure you wanna run with us?", then when the Samurai does its job getting me through the trail it's always like "I want one of those!" LOL! Never fails.

These trails are kinda tight even in some spots for me, we like em like that though... makes things a bit more technical, especially having to worry about a rut, on a hill, wet, with trees on either side of you. :D

Ya, I love my Cherokee and it does quite well off road, but I wheel my Sami to death! I like to keep things interesting, a bit different!

Sami power either comes through gears or engine swaps or builds. I geared first and wow did that make a difference! Then built the little 1.3, then it was a whole new machine! Now I've re-geared again and learning it all over.

It's letting you know it needs to get out more often! If I can help with anything just LMK!

OH yeah, Wayne. . . That Zuk build is getting good! Can't wait to see how it ends up! (probably upside down! :D ) I think I might sign up on that forum, but i'm not a Kiwi. . . :o

that looks like a real fun.
Is the Samuri higher than the XJ?
It is so jumpy and unstable in stock condition, I wonder how it is like that...

Thanks, the trails are pretty nice (and local to)! They are pretty new so when we ride through we're always seeing new ways and cuts to go through.
More pics and vids to come soon hopefully!

It's pretty fun, looking to get better!

Ya, the Sami is maybe a inch (1") taller than the XJ. My rockers and sliders are about 2 1/2 inches over his. I could run 35" tires but will stick to the 34" LTB's for now. (actually a 33.7) It's actually pretty stable believe it or not. It's had a Jeep YJ spring conversion done in a spring over axle setup and rides WAY better than it ever did stock. Not bouncy at all now. Unbelievably smother ride than my little stock one. It's like going form a tractor to a Cadillac, between the two.

York's XJ is a low build on 36" swampers. He's looking to go 1 tons and possibly 38's soon. :D

Well looks like we are on for Sunday of this week! Hopefully i'll get some good footage and pics of the trails and the vehicle out! We are inviting some of our good wheeling friends to join in this time, should be a good mix! Weather is supposed to be pretty nice as well!

If all goes well, I may have the first opportunity to put mine on its side!

OK, so some wheeling went down, great times were had by everyone in attendance!!! Everything went off without any problems, no REAL damages were obtained (except for my few things). Already can't wait to go back! We had 9 vehicles show up to wheel with us, from a 71 Land Cruiser to a Xterra, J-10, Cherokees, and a Samurai! :D

I got some pics, more vids though. I will update the thread as soon as they are loaded to my YouTube and PhotoBucket account!

He did OK, This was his first time out after the 350 swap and the carb was wanting to give him issues. He wheeled the first part of the day w/ us till we got to the more steeper / angled stuff, then he parked it and rode along. It did pretty well for the time it was running considering it was being starved of fuel.

Ya know, I don't know about everywhere else but I do see quite a few of them on the trails. (The FJs) There are plenty in the city I live in, i'm starting to see more and more of them.
