View Full Version : What type of front winch bar

OK I've made the rear bar, just a few cosmetic changes to the sides needed (bet i never do it lol)

Next I want to get a front winch bar sorted. So I thought i would ask everyone's preferences for style as an interesting thread.

This the style I like. This one is from Warrior Products.

That is a nice looking bumper. The other basic style moves the winch up higher and gives a better approach angle. Your preference though.

Won't it block the air for the radiator if it would be higher?
that may be an issue in warm places.
(I know here it is...)

That is a good question Saar. Some say no, others say yes. If you think it is an issue, go for the lower one. When I put mine on, mounted high, I had no trouble with the original motor even when towing heavy loads. My own overheating came after I changed engines.

I like the low mount but you also want to be able to mount it so it doesn't stick way out front which is what reduces the approach angle ability. Lots of people use the high mount with out any overheating problems too.
