On Sunday night a good friend has a massive roll on a cutline just outside of Rocky Mountain House Alberta on a Suzuki run, the roll happened around 10PM on Sunday and the Suzuki guys had to abandon the Rig on the Trail. My Friend Jay who owned the RIG called everyone to do a recovery and everyone said no,.. except a local 4x4 Business owner and myself (I had to borrow the Wifey's Rubicon to go) We left at 6:30 Am from Calgary and got to the trail head around 10AM and so it began,...

We had to negotiate about 65KMS of trails we had never been on in rain , hail and wet snow (elevation) We had rocks, mud, shale, skeg, hills, off cambers, you name it,..

About 1:30PM after numerous stucks and the "its just one more hill over" we spotted it,..

The Photo's DO NOT do the hill, angle or difficulty of this recovery any justice!!!

It took 2 hours to secure, recover and repair the unit enough to get it rolling again,.. and we finally returned to the trail head at 9PM, home by 1:15 AM ,.. I will post up more photos later

beautiful country... and I can only imagine the incline of that bad boy... I got to see some awesome trails, and some awesome inclines on them when I spent a month in the wood over on the BC side of Canada securing and retrieving logs... was very awesome country to see.. Glad to hear no one was seriously injured in that roll over though, if that cab had crushed any more could have been even worse for him...

Get some new doors, windshield and frame, and then the frame for the roof that goes above the doors from the back to the windshield, and it'll be good as new.... That thing will still be a good wheeler, after a little bit of work..

Man, poor Zuk. I think i've read some on this one on Pirate.

Anyway, This trail looks kinda familiar. Looks like some of the trails that have seen in some of the 'White Knight' vids. (For those who don't know the White Knight vids, YouTube them!) If in fact this is some of those trails. . . Man, that place was NASTY in those vids, the ruts were big enough then to swallow that Zuk. Nasty, Nasty trails. . . ;)

Great job on the recovery!

Oh I know. No offense taken on my part lol! I'm used to the ribbing from folks, I like it. . . keeps things interesting! I like all things 4x, I have never thought one certain thing was ever far superior to another.

Anyone know if this certain trail is in fact one of the ones used in the White Knight videos.

The trail in question starts in at around the 1:00 mark. Sorry, the vid has no sound. . . but his others do! :D

That Trail is nicknamed "Killer Cutline" I was there when that video was shot, think you can see my XJ (black at the time) at the bottom,.. I mad an ass-ault that day, made it to the top of the first hard part sheered my track bar off and slid to the bottom

Sweet, I love those old vids! I've been watching the White Knight vids for a LONG time now (Haven't seen any recent ones past the TTC ones).

Ouch! I bet that was fun to break back in those parts. That's pretty cool that you were there though. I thought those trails looked a little familiar. Hmm. . . "Small World" lol!

Edit : So in the vid i posted, is that your Cherokee at the .10sec mark on the right side of the screen?

Anyway, that's pretty cool you were there for that. Wish I could have been, I'd love to run some trails like those someday. Any more pics of those trails, from the past trips or present?

Aww man. . . Really? That's a bummer. I noticed that there hasn't been any vids from that area with those trails in them for a while now. Was the closure due to the greenies or something else? I hope it wasn't like in my area where they just use the erosion excuse to close everything.
