where is a steel scrap yard

around the kingwood porter area where i can buy steel to make bumpers, sliders, etc? i googled "scrap steel 77339" and called all the numbers but they all said they don't sell to the public.

Triple S steel has an outside yard where they sale cutoffs, damaged, and odd size metal of all types. Theyare reasonably priced. You may be suprised that the new steel isn't that high either.

i went to SSS steel last week & bought 40 feet of 1.5" round tubing and enough .25 plate to make tie ins and winch plate. i think i am going to do a tube style winch bumper.
