So I have noticed that there are getting to be more and more Houston area folks on the forum. This is great, but I would love to meet some of yall. Tony suggested a meet and greet since that draws in a certain kind of crowd, I however think a Wheeling trip would be more fun. However I understand not every xj is built for offroading. So my idea was that we could have a traditional style meet and greet, but at an offroad park. That way we can socialize when we want, and us wheelers could go play for a while. And there will be plenty of seats to ride in, if you wanna go play, but not in your jeep. Now no matter what, you have to pay to get in, wether your riding or watching. Now on to the good stuff. The San Jacinto river runs right through the park and offers great beaches to hang out on and grill on. And for the real woodsman there are nice places to camp out there to. Oh and to appeal to the redneck fellas, BEER is allowed, but only in cans.
NOW we need to figure out a date and time. I was thinking the weekend before or after July 4th would be best. But no date is set in stone. Just need to get a head count, so that I can see what kind of group rate they will give us. Hope to see hundreds  or yall there :D Also if you have any other ideas please let me know.

walking TO the park would suck... then youd have to walk the trails....
BUT that might come in handy if you have to walk HOME from the park...
