....the mud off of your Xj after offroading?

I pulled in a local car wash yesterday to add some tranny fluid to my Dodge. I just wanted to get off of the highway to be safe. The owner came out and said I couldn't park there. I told him I wasn't parking I just neede to drop some oil in. As I got the oil and funnel out of my tool box he smarted off that no vehical maintenance is allowed on property. I threw the oil back in the toolbox and as I went back to the driver side I told him I would never spend another quarter at his place.

I later re-canted and decided I would take the Xj there after the next muddy trip to Creekside. See I usually rinse the heavy stuff off at home then finish at the carwash. I always rinse the floor before I leave so the poser's don't get dirty while washing their 22's.

Next time that all goes out the window!! Revenge is sweet!!

Next....tell your stories!!!

I clean mine on the front lawn. You need to organise a mud run to that place 8-) I used to go to the car was after the attendants knocked off. Or after a night run at 3am

We usually rinse at my buddies shop to get the big stuff off then hit the car wash, if we do go to the carwash first, we usually make sure we wash the walls and floor, we have been chased out more than once.

We don't get that sticky mud here you guys have, but it turns everything red. But most people hit the car wash and plug in the quarters.

Ha I got booted from a carwash once... I was caught on video washing chunks as big as melons off my jeep and leaving them there... the next time I went in I was busted LOL oh well, the owner said that it was ok ONLY if I would washe down all the excess dirt down the drain... he was even cool enough to let me do that portion of the cleaning on the carwashes dime and he let me use their shovel LOL

I usually hit the car wash for the big and thick stuff.... then do a better job by hand once I get home... not to mention being able to actually clean out the door step areas once I get home, since that always manages to fill with mud, and never cleans at the car wash... this is all when I finally decide to actually clean the mud off of my XJ... I think it looks better covered, personally!!

I like the way Wayne cleans his.

I wash mine first at the car wash then finish at the house.

I do the pre wash like Wayne then rinse the rest off at the cheepo 50cent carwash down the road. I've noticed others that use it, don't find the river to splash through first. I wash my bike about the same way except that then I go home and polish that ride up.

I normally do the carwash...then find a buddy to hand wash it...
