Nice picture.
Is that called desert in your country? I see all the trees around.
It is funny how each country has its own definitions.

We define desert in this country as an area where the rainfall is less than 10" average per year. We have lots of areas with that much or less that has sage brush, in the foreground. You can graze cows on it, and if you let it grow and not get burned in a wild fire it will get up into the fifteen foot tall range, small trees. I cannot tell what the trees in the background are, but we have trees that will survive well in these areas if there are no fires.

Saar it's the high desert the elevation is about 4000' it's usualy between the mountains and the desert. We have the low desert like death valley and the salton sea which is below sea level. When I find my low desert pics I will post. In the back ground you see manzanita and mesqiute bushes that appear as 'trees".

Great country to ride the trails in, but when it does rain there can be flash floods. So beware of the weather conditions prior to a planned ride.

We have a record amount of rain this year. We got 15" in a 2 week period.

Yeah, we got some records almost everywhere in CA this year. Almost too much snow to remove in the mountain passes. They ran out of room to push or blow it, so they were trucking it out of I80 Donnor Summit.

Hi,

Thank you.
Here a desert is only if the area has less than 200 mm (7.8") rain in a year.
Anyway, nice picture :-)

Sarr when I find my mojave valley pictures I will post them. It's what most people would concider the desert. We have a trippy looking tree called the joshuha tree it's on a U2 album cover.
