My son had some time to kill and wanted some Mighty Mite parts for HUM WEE Jr. He just happened to have his daughter, Emily with him. When you go there, there is a lot of stuff to see out front, but in the back is the secret wrecking yard that you have to access through the parts dept. He found out she really likes this stuff.

But the big surprise was she fell in love with this Forward Control Jeep

Maybe this will keep the heat off dad who may just be able to keep his Mighty Mite yet.:D

It just kind of depends on what part of the world you are in. You have lots of Nissans and Toyotas there we don't have either.

That is the original Jeep pickup. They came in two versions, light and heavy. They had the same engine tranny, tcase and D25 front end the station wagon had. The light duty version had a D44 I think and the heavy had a Timken rear end and some really hard springs. Rear track was wider than the front. Same interior and dash as the station wagon.

That is awesome... Would think that would take the heat off of dad having the Hum Wee.. I wish I could find an old Willy's style truck or FC sitting, just waiting for a restoration...

We will see what she wants when she goes to the yard again in a couple of weeks. Paul is going to take a Friday off and take her to the yard on the way to Marysville with HUM WEE in tow for fitting a new custom radiator.

Hmmm...Emily likes the FC. That is a good excuse to build one "for her". Besides, it would be great for towing the Mighty Mite around.

Let's see, daughter towing dad around...

Might be too much macho in the family for that one.

But there is a really nice FC just down the street from me with a flat bed on it. He puts it in the local car show every year. It is after all across the street from his house.

That is a tempting offer. We found a Mighty Mite for sale east of Houston and we were thinking seriously of bidding on it and having it hauled out here. But in the end, we decided we had better pay attention to current projects.
