You should do a free shipping sale on the cargo rack since I missed out on the last one.
Haha, welcome aboard!

I like the ladders and the driveshafts are very strong sounding.

That winch plate and frame mounts are a great idea for folks wanting to build there own bumper. I am very seriously thinking about buying it. Wonder if I would be able to stick my stock front bumper over it, after some trimming?

Maybe, or I might just put them back on sale for the same savings as shipping.

With some fab skills I don't see why not, you could even drill the three holes on each side and bolt the stock one back on!

I was looking at the 3 electric fan set up...

https://www.dirtboundoffroad.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/IMG_1046-300x157.jpg

How does this mount?

Are there any modifications necessary the the XJ other than electrical hook up and removing the mechanical fan, clutch, and factory electric fan?

Did the price just jump $40?!?!?!?!?!!

Ill have more information later today or tomorrow, but yes it did go up $40. The standard steel mounting is now being replaced with aluminum fan shroud / mount, thus the price increase. But now you are getting the full 4,300CFM though the radiator.

I am working on the new design today and will have new photos up.

The only mod is cutting is a little of the radiator support panel, but that is optional to make it easier to install.

Excellent. Ok good I don't mind the $40 increase then. My next question was going to be about the air flow because there WASN'T a shroud. I've been fighting with my cooling system for about 5 years now and I have licked every problem with the exception of running hot at highway speeds. I'm about 95% certain that 4600 CFM would solve that issue. That $149 was an attention getter though.

How is your radiator? I can turn all my fans off if I am driving over 40 mph due to ram air effect, I actually run around 180* at 70mph!!

I havent posted this yet on this board, but on naxja I have test results of my fans vs stock electric CFM ratings. Our kit is almost the same output with less power draw.

It's a long story and since there is NO SEX in the story it's pretty boring.

3 core, high flow everything, HD grand cherokee clutch fan, etc... It runs about 1/2 way between 210 and the next hash mark, which is around 225 230 according to the OBD II interface. 13k BTU transmission cooler, etc... It runs closer to 210, maybe a hair over with the AC off.

I've had the problem with it since I lifted and put the 32" tires on it.

Idle and even wheeling on the hottest Houston days WITH the AC on it stays just below 210, so all the mods are working, however it didn't resolve the running hot (or heat creep) at highway speeds.

By definition the problem is a air flow issue, so I decided to get more air through there! 4600 CFM with an shroud should do that! :D

You know what.

I had a high flow thermostat and it was causing the same issue with running hot at speed, I think it has something to do with to much flow not letting the radiator cool the coolant long enough.

Hey I was just wondering, your ad at the top of the xjtalk screen says bumpers, sliders,etc.. was wondering if you guys were going to start selling sliders or if I was just missing them while viewing your site??

They are coming.

I have been busy re designing the fan kit to have a integrated shroud, after that sliders are next.

I am motivated to make them as I gave my old set to a friend for helping me swap motors last month, so i am slider less at the moment.

Look for them in the next week or two.

Welcome to XJTalk and thanks for the discount  I love the winch bumper tray and will be making that purchase. Can't wait to see your slider design as I am needing those too. (would love some with a lower door guard feature)
