I found this one on ebay for 12.00 But I am not sure if this is worth it or not. That is not a bad price. I am just using it to measure small things, like hose thickness, hole diameter, things like that. Nothing that will be catastrophic if it is off a little. Measuring with a tape or ruler just won't do. Your thoughts?

At $12 plus $12 shipping and handling you can get the same thing for the same price locally. I did.

O'reily? I was there this morning and didn't see any. Did you have to ask for it?

Hey i am not sure..... maybe it was some kind of promo but I know that they have one in the store for the emplyees to measur stuff (I used it a couple of time on their parking lot) so i am assuming it is something they carry....
but it is the exact same one though...

The Wilman one.... I bet if they don;t have it there, they can order it for you.... here in Logan it takes them like 2 days max to get items

It is only .99 plus like 12.99 shipping that is why I said 12.00 in the original post.
All together it would be 13.98.

yes but Ebay is a biding site ;) might be 0.99 or as much as you are willing.
I would place a bid for like $2 max and wait... if you win it then good, if it goes higher then you check back with local store...
O'reilly is easy to work with and they will change it if there is a pb
that is just my opinion

Rather than a mic, get yourself a good 6" dial caliper. Unless you have to be accurate down to .001" everytime, calipers will be fine, and they are much more useful.

Get a decent set from Starrett or Mitutoyo. Stay away from anything Chinese.

Check out Craigslist. Never know what you may find.
