Hey guys we did our first ECORS class a race this past weekend and I wanted to share some pics with you.

Check out the ecors site for more info on this kicka$$ race series.
www.ecors.com (http://www.ecors.com)

http://i494.photobucket.com/albums/rr308/ibuildbigtoys/DSC_5371.jpgThis is our 1998 grand cherokee limited 5.9
we swapped in a ford 8.8 spooled with 4.56 gears
front is a wj front d30 with a true trac and 4.56 gears from rons machining those guys got us great parts at a great price.

The suspension is a front to rear swap and a 4 inch front coil
Fox air bumps and rubicon shocks up front

bilstein 5100 rear shocks with energy suspension poly bumps (they hurt every time we hit em lol!)

Ironman4x4fab.com fixed arms w/poly all around and iron man custom tie rods drag links and track bars front and rear.

old school aluminum american racing wheels with old skool 33" bfg mt kms

we got in 7 of the 10 laps allotted in the 2 hour time limit and finished the race 5 of the 10 entered did not finish due to mechanical failures. We did blow a rad hose but got it repaired and had cooling issues for the rest of the race.

we crossed the line with 33 seconds to go.

we have a few more pics to upload with the jeep fully air borne at some hill climb crests.

This race series is a blast check it out

Holy Crap the Playground was full of water. I hate I missed the Flats Race. That is the first place I took my stock WJ, before I got rid of it.

Here's a youtube video of the Class A racers, you can see the moment our radiator hose came off and how we used our Ironman tie rod as a battering ram!

Andy that was an unbelievable hit on the tie rod. I gotta ask did it even dent the paint?

Stupid question..................why do you have the fire extinguisher secured to a roof rail?

ECORS requires 2 fire extinguishers, one the driver can reach while buckled up and one spectators can reach from the outside. It was the best place we could find at the time.

It did scratch the paint a little. That tie rod is 54" long so there is a lot of leverage on them from center.

we removed the rock from the hill and pushed it down the hill. I felt like a goon... and then a monster. It was too much fun. I had not been 4 wheeling in a long time.
