They are very nice. Is that primer with hardener (meaning 2 parts) or just spray?
I would take a couple of thought's for the right price. :shocker:

2 part, through a gun....primer/sealer.....it could be left 'as is', but it's not UV stable, so it requires top coating....

Gotcha covered Bo.

Lighting, that Jeep has been the test XJ for the last 3 months, I'm unsure which lights he mounted, I'll ask........Field tests report no problems, issues or leaks since install, to include snow/ice/rain, the Jeep is driven daily.

Thankyou for the positive feed back.

Do you have to use slim lights there, or will regular KC style offroad lights fit?

Jim, I'm pretty sure theres enough room for a full KC light, I'll confirm later today, I have a couple kicking around the shop.

Since this item ships in a USPS flat rate box, it's affordable to ship overseas, product price would be adjusted back, then individual shipping qoutes applied.

Just a little info about these... I really love the way they look and want to get them for my XJ.. But I just want to know this, When you drill the holes out for the bolts is there a gasget that goes with it to keep the rain and water out of the pillar to prevent it from rusting or do you use some kind of silicone for that?....
I hate to have rust problems from the holes and any kind of leaks going into my jeep or pillar to start any rush problem down the road....

DETOURS

You would use silicone to seal, our suggested install will suggest silicone, the prototype set, installed for 3 months now has no leaking issues in rain/snow/ice conditions since install.

Brackets work with KC lighting.
Someone on another forum suggested these could also be used as rear view mirror supports when 'doorless'.....
Another suggested for a camera mount.........kinda kool idea.....

If anyone has any questions about the install feel free to post here or shoot me a pm. I was lucky enough to be the first person to test these out. I have had them on since a little past Christmas with no problems.

As for whoever asked what lights are in the picture, they are the KC slimlite lights. There is a ton of room so I would imagine all lights would work depth wise. I wouldn't go much larger than a 6 inch diameter light or so. I would also recommend finding some type of long range or pencil beam lights for the a-pillars. Anything else the glare from the hood might be annoying.

I'm surprised DETOURS hasn't come out with an add on product in the form of a bolt on light shield to solve that issue! :D

If I had bought any other type of light I would have probably had to bug him enough to make some type of shield. That's why I chose the long range lights. I will let someone else bug him to make something like that. I bug Mark enough with emails. :rotfl2:

Choo.......what the hell are you doing this far South????
LOL.......
I dont do hood condoms.........:headshake:

As time permits, I guess I'll be running numerous lighting systems myself, being unsure if people are looking more for a 'distance' light, or a swamp type light......only trying different lights will tell...........

Really dont think the set up should be used for other than "off road" use.....

I figured I would come hang out over here for awhile.

I'll take my chances and leave my hood unprotected without the hood condoms. Who knows maybe by leaving off the "hood condoms" my KC lights will multiply up to the roof or to the front bumper.

My wife has decided that since I now have 8 lights on my Jeep that when the Zombies come I can just blind em.
Love these A-Pillar light Brackets!

Those are Hella 500ff's BTW. They are plenty bright with the 55w bulb from the cab view. Luckily I don't have a glossy hood so I cannot comment on a refection due to that.
