The contest will run from July 1st through July 31st!
The drawing will be held on Saturday August 1st.
Winners will be notified via the xjtalk website!

For those that meet all requirements, your name will be on a small slip of paper. The paper will be placed in a box. Someone not associated directly with xjtalk will randomly pick as many pieces of paper as there are prizes available. The first name selected will be the first prize winner, the 2nd the 2nd prize winner and so on.

Once you know you are a winner, just check back here, you will need to send me a private message with your full name and shipping address. Please include an e-mail address and a phone number so you can be contacted if necessary to get your prize to you.

** Prizes will be shipped free of charge to the 48 continental United States. Shipping charges else where will be the responsibility of the winner.

** The prizes could take between 4 and 6 weeks to arrive.

** The prizes are being generously donated by two of our vendors for this contest. xjtalk is in no way affiliated with these prizes. The prizes are between the company's donating the prize and the winner. If there are any issues with the prizes this is fully between you and the vendor providing the prize, and not xjtalk.

The Rough Country website says it is for 4" 6" or 8" of lift.

I believe it's the only adjustable track bar they make for the XJ.

The upper rear factory shock connection is known to be of poor design, it traps mud, water, salt, salamanders......you name it. This results in alot of people breaking bolts when trying to replace their shocks. The common repairs include attempting to drill out the broken bolts and retapping, cutting holes through the rear floor area to get to broken bolts is another common attempt at the repair, some folks weld their new shocks in place.

The STM's can eliminate the factory connection, if done in time the STM's can bolt in place......we've also had customers weld them in place. Basically once mounted, your shock connection becomes a nut-n-bolt connection, easily accessed instead of a hidden, prone to breaking, pocket nut know to collect sludge, rust connection.
They can also be used as shock extenders, lets say you uprade your rear shackes to longer ones giving you additional height, well you gained height but lost shock travel........you can restore the shock travel by 1.5" with the STM's in place.......

finneys98xj has withdrawn his requested to be included in the contest.

After discussions with Finney, and the moderators it was agreed that since Finneys98xj has just turned 18 he was not eligible to be in the contest prior to his 18th birthday.

He may still participate in the contest, but the 100 posts needed will have to be earned between his birthday date and July 31st, 2009.

I personally hate this, as the intent is to have as many members involved in the contest that want to be.

Hats off to Finneys98xj for showing a higher level of maturity than most 18 year olds.

xjtalk is serious about our 18 year old, or older policy. If we find that you are younger than 18 your membership will be put on hold until your 18th birthday.

Well there you have it gentlemen. My many thanks to Ron at 4wheelingplus.com for the majority of the prizes, and to Mark at Detoursusa.com for their prize donation! I have bought from both of these xjtalk vendors and I recommend them both highly! Even before they gave xjtalk free stuff to give away. :rotfl2:

I was surprised that of all the woman we have on this site only men won the prizes.

I was also surprised, if you take out the Murphy's Law factor that ol"blue won an XJ part for his Grand Cherokee or Saturn.

We've had a lot more posts, and a lot more people join, and I think that was a direct result of this contest, and other than having some fun that was the main goal.

I think this shows all of you that the board is a lot more fun if people get in a post things up. Ask those dumb questions, I do all the time. It's more important to me to know the answer than appear smarter than everyone else.

To our winners. Thanks for getting in here and being a part of the board and the contest. Be warned, I'm going to bagger you for pictures of your prize, and I would really like to have a picture of you and your prize for the board.
