Whats the Subscribe? monthly thing that we talked about or one time payment?

Subscription is a monthly commitment, where as the donation is a one time, or sporadic payment. One we can count on each month the other, hard to say.

I mean $2.50 a month for a year is $30. A annual donation of $30 would be the same thing. Doing the Pay-pal subscription just means you don't have to remember to do it.

Maybe I should put annual subscriptions on there too.

Thought donors got 2 stickers free? "Donors get their choice of 1 or 2 stickers." <<<quote from pm when i donated. Not looking to cause problems, just what I was told.

What I remembered was that site donors were giving money to help buy stickers. Stickers were a first come first serve basis. The next time we were able to buy stickers, through donations anyone that was a donor would get a second sticker first, or two stickers if you didn't already have one. The sticker wasn't free, it was paid for by someone, the donors.

No one donated any more money for stickers, or at least not enough to place another order. So I came up with this latest idea. I didn't want to forget the support of the people that have donated in the past so I did the two stickers for $7.

I don't want anyone to have any bad feelings about this, I'm just trying to do what I can with no money.

xjrev10 if you remember something different lets get together on PM and discuss it. If you like I can refund your donation.

Great, yeah I was afraid you were feeling like I was trying to screw you out of your donation. Originally I was just going to pay for all the stickers out of my pocket and things happened at work, so slowly I've been coming around to the idea of charging for the stickers. I was trying not to, but... well you know the story.

Thanks and if you ever feel like you've given too much, or paid more than what this site is worth let me know and I'll get your money back to you. :patriot:

Well more good news folks....

The local vendor has given me a price on a sticker that looks like this...

http://xjtalk.com/images/special/xjtalk_sticker_1x2.5.jpg

Just an estimate but I think we can sell the 4"x10" shipped to anywhere in the U.S. for $15.50.

Too pricey? I know I'm going to get one, or two for my Jeep.

Sticker update!

I called the service and spoke with them about getting a sample. After a few minutes of discussion I'm going to go visit with them this Saturday and they'll do a sample standard die cut and look into the color stickers.

If everything looks good on the die cut I'll place the order and then pick them up the following Saturday.

It has to be Saturday since I can't make it over there by their closing time during the week.

But we are moving along, so baring any problems we should have stickers to start sending out about a week and a half. :smiley-scared002:

If you HAVEN'T ordered your sticker I would recommend you do so. I am not going to buy a bunch of extra stickers right now. So if I get the stickers then you decide you want one it may be a couple of weeks before I go back and pick up more!!!!! :sad0147:

Even better news!

I went to check out the local sticker vendor today, very impressed!

He asked if I wanted to wait for them, I said sure!

While I was there I asked him about the 4x10 color logo stickers, and some much bigger one's for the rear side windows of my Jeep.

It's hard to tell from these shots, but the little one on the side is the 4"x10", the big ones are 8"x20"

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_b0ViaGso2Ko/TZeBB27BLhI/AAAAAAAAAyA/OsCPWBf_tFA/s720/2011-04-02%2014.38.30.jpg

So xjtalk.com officially has 6" vinyl stickers, and we will be getting them out to the folks that have ordered them in the next few days.

Ok I was just reading my original posts and it looked like I was saying that if you are a site donor you can have 2 stickers for $14, that wasn't what I had in mind.

One time only, you can get 2 stickers for $7 shipped, or 1 sticker for $3.50 shipped.

If you want more stickers then it would be the regular price.

The subscribers get the one time deal, then any additional stickers are at regular price.

So if you think you are going to want 2 stickers get them on the best deal!

Tony I am glad you added the "alk.com" to the xjT. Makes it easier for people going by me to see what the sticker it. The original had the xjtalk.com too small underneath. They would have to have stopped and gotten close enough to see it to tell what xjT was.
What I am trying to say is looks good!

I still have my original sticker, never put it on because I only had 1.. (I like to be even)... guess now I will have to by two new ones. :D

I have no time frame for you. I was hoping this week. We still need to find envelopes that the 6" stickers fit in and the post office accepts. Even then I have to collect and print all the address labels. As you can see above we're not sending out 75 to a 100 this time so it will go faster than usual. The biggest hurtle was finding a local sticker vendor and getting the stickers. Right now we are at least two weeks ahead of schedule.

It's coming!

The plan going forward will be to ship these out as orders come in. It's always hardest getting started. Once we know how much the little envelops cost to send it will be a simple matter of just putting the correct postage on them and dropping them in the mail.

Hey Weldmen! I keep forgetting to post this. Your goodies when out yesterday, they said it would be delivered Monday.

You have a Performance Distributor;

CAP
6 plug wires and a coil wire
a coil

I would recommend a new rotor and 6 Champion plugs.

You can try gapping them at .065 to start but I had to bring mine down to .045

If you don't mind gapping testing and then regapping I recommend going with the full .065 gap they recommend.

Crap, I just noticed this...

1991-1992 JEEP WIRING HARNESS ADAPTER
1991 and 1992 Jeeps require a wiring harness adapter for our Screamin' Demon Coil to work
with the factory plug in harness. This adapter harness is easy to install and comes with
connections to splice into the factory wiring harness. Please note that this part is not sold
with the ignition kits and must be purchased separately.

Part# 031105 (91-92 Jeep 4.0L) $22.00

I thought the only adapter was for the 98-99 which I had to buy for mine.

:link: (http://www.performancedistributors.com/jeep4.0.htm)

This might be good because it may give you some time to check your MPG prior to installing the kit. I read a review where they picked up 2 to 3 mpg.

We recently shipped out the last of our stickers! :bang:

We received some today though!!!! Included with the stickers were a couple of "try" license plates. If people like them and buy them we'll get more.

Unrelated to the stickers and license plate are the absolutely beautiful coffee mugs pictured here.

We only ordered a few of these, for the same reason. Check out the xjtalk store for pricing information.

I know you're just messing with me, but it's funny that you ask that. We are looking at doing something like that for the high dollar subscribers. Yes the one's that have already subscribed as well.

We don't know what all the merch we will have yet, but the current thought is a coffee mug, a sticker (probably a color one), and a certificate suitable for framing. Again in the planning phases, so no promise implied.
