I know there are some fab guys out here that are building, or trying to build some stuff. This is my favorite area of jeeping and love to see guys building stuff. I dont care how good or bad it is.

remember those shackle box relocation things... I came up with a concept that will be perfect...]

basically Im gonna take another piece of angle and drill and bolt it opposite direction of this so it runs along the same plane as the OE shackle box and Then make some shackle mounts at a certain point to give my ride height a 50 degree angle on those shackles that I got from YOU... I'll let you know how its coming along

Here is a little something I have been tinkering with for a long time in between and during other projects, like when I have metal cooling or something.

I built a rear aluminum bumper out of the same aluminum conveyor that I used for the front. However, I am running out of scrap.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/warriorsuspension/IMG_0893.jpg

I wanted a rear winch that didn't stick out a mile or interfere with the tail gate, so I modeled it around this Mile Marker 9000

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/warriorsuspension/IMG_0894.jpg

Then I also decided I needed to carry a full size spare. I can tie down a 31" tire in the back, but I have not built a good rack for it yet. So I got a factory spare tire carrier. Paid $25 for it I think at the pick and pull and got all the parts with it. However I don't have a factory bumper anymore. So I needed to raise up above the bumper about 4" and make some hinge mounts for it. I decided to do it out of aluminum of course.

http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/uu215/warriorsuspension/IMG_0891.jpg

Scuse the remnants of a little Cohasset mud:rotfl2:

Here it is on the hinge mounts. I need to move the license plate now and the latch mechanism to match and I will have it.

That is really slick, Are you going to leave the aluminum bare? or polish it up and blind tailgaters with your bling? Rock on!

Just curious, do you get anymore noticeable swaying back and for when the jamb nut come lose on the rear shackles (arms)?

Thanks. I like working with aluminum better than steel. I think it is easier.

I do too. when I am working thicker steel I always have to get it cherry before I apply the bfh to shape it or it just doesn't move at all. and Aluminum doesn't make your arms as sore for the same amount of shaping. but steel is easier to use in the english wheel and it shrinks better. Those are about the only advantages to steel that I know of. Oh, yeah. Aluminum makes lighter body panels, and is easier to bead for stiffening plus it holds it's shine longer.

Wow I really expected to see more fabrication stuff like custom roof racks, bumpers, exocages ect.

I'd like a small exocage just to keep body looking nice :) To bad no tube bender!

I'm working on a exo cage for my jeep I even have all the tube and bender. I just havent had the time to work on it as of late. "I also just ran out of argon" Need to pick some up asap so when I do have tme I can get something done. I got the tube flares done and the rear loop but still need to do the top and down tubes. I plan on doing a cage inside too just for the front.

REALLY interested in seeing the exocage as mine will be a DD too so I want it to stay looking good.

I wheel my jeep hard and have rolled a few over the years just not this one yet. I have had it going on 10 years now and it has had damage but I painted it black so damage could be fixed and color matched eazy. I have had no damage sence I added the tube flares. Hope to have the rest done by winter because thats when I use it the most.

Here is a pics from the back as is and a few from the side you can see the back loop is done and the top will be added to attach to it then the down tubes will attach to the flares and so on. The hard part is going to be keeping my spotlights and do the A pillers. Any ideas welcome on that one I have a few but I might not have the best one yet.

Yeah I have a hossfeild bender its not hidro so some was done by friends but I was there and it was all done from mostly my ideas and on the fly. I also tried to keep the bends to a min to try and keep it uncomplacated and eazyer to copy for the other side. I just cant seem to make up my mind on how I'm going to finish the top and a pillers. I want to get it right the first time..You know?

They are more money than the jd2 but I got mine from a shop that was going out of bissness. They do everything though not just tube you can get dies to do anything you can think of. The Hossfield #2 bender is the Original tube bender. I have the shop one with like a ton of dies though and picked it up for $500 I did have to buy the one set of dies for 1 1/2 tube though just the dies where $300 but sooo worth it.
