While sitting in a double left hand turn lane this morning, about 5 cars back in my lane, I noticed a Texas State Trooper in the inside lane of the on coming traffic.

The left hand turn signal turned green and cars started moving, as I was moving up, almost as soon as it turned green the lights turned yellow.

2 cars, then another, red, another, still red, and another! A full 2 to 3 seconds AFTER the light turned red!!!!

The TAPS trooper hits his lights. The final two trucks that ran the light were both trying to pull over, the first one pulled onto a side street and the trooper drove by! He continued after the final vehicle that ran the red light.

The guy that pulled over first was about the luckiest guy alive, or I'm sure he felt that way.

It was hilarious. Running red lights in Houston is standard operating procedure, but running it after the light has changed to red 2 to 3 seconds prior is very unusual.

And NO, no pictures. No time for the camera to even read the memory card to capture this scene!

That XJ was my very first XJ I ever owned about 12 years ago, it's been on beach duty parked in N. Carolina for the last 10 years, we just brought it back after Christmas, I condemned it and took it away from Pop!!:o

I was on Jones road this afternoon heading home, it's 70 outside and beautiful, so I had the windows down.

I heard someone yelling at me from the open driver's side window. I figured it was another Jeep compliment, or question (I'm getting used to it now :D), but it was someone pointing at my NAXJA sticker and telling me he was a member.

He was driving a Ford Explorer. I yelled back, "Try XJTALK!" He nodded as the light changed and we had to move.

Hopefully he'll make it here. I saw him speed up and turn, as I passed I saw it was an Autozone he was pulling into. Had I know I would have stopped and said hello. I would like to know where his XJ was!!! :rotfl2:

I need to get my xjtalk sticker on my Jeep!

Ok it's been a while but I finally saw something on the way home, and I was able to take a picture of it.

I laughed then thought about it, and I was a little sad, for the kids.

Well today started good, woke up @ 7am... got on I-10 by 8am... Then went from San Antonio to Houston to drop off a 8X7 garage door, and pick up another garage door. Then went back to San Antonio got home around 4pm :] Heres the joy... you see my dad has a 2003 Dodge RAM 1500 and its lifted a bit... im 5'7 and I have to jump in.. along with a loud *** exhaust Flow Master 7000 series... and he drives 80-100 all the way there. Riding people ***'s and what not.. it was funny... mainly we got about 20 flickoffs, and about 10 people trying to cuss us out while flying past them.. what a day

Yes, if you see something funny, and it doesn't get you divorced. :shocker:

Actually, the other part of my business involves traveling. I cover three states now, maybe four one of these days. When I get the Jeep just right, I will take it instead of the Subaru and hit some of the wheeling spots around the west after work is done.
