Hi everyone, im lookin to relocate my rear shocks and i looked at jks shock relocation kit and that seems like the idea i want but im on a very tight budget right now and i can fab just about anything im just wondering if anyone has done anything similar? I was thinking about mounting to the unibody rails where my bumpstops used to be becaust that is the centerline of the offset shocks anyway and is also the same center line of the jks relo kit. Thanks for any input! :)

i made mine out of 1.5x1.5" 120 wall square tube and just welded a couple bolts through it to mount the shocks only prob i had was i used 1/8th" plate for where it mounts to the unibody and its was bent after the first run (the plate not the tube)so just make sure to use thicker plate steel like 3/16" where it bolts on the unibody where the old bumpstops used to be it was super easy and cheap to make the only reason i did it was because i relocated the axle shock mounts then my shocks were too long so i had to mount them at an angle so i had some uptravel without bottoming out the shock

One thing to remember is that the more the angle, the less effective the shock. At 45° the shock is only 70% as effective as vertical.

off topic but also note the exhaust cut off and pointing right at the shock and the gas tank also not a good idea :) im still workin the bugs out lol

Yeah thats almost exactly what i was thinkin except im gonna be goin for a more vertical stance on shock angle cuz i really wanna make those crappy factory mounts history this is the third time i have messed with them and the last hahaha. Thanks!

I like the bracket... Looks good.. but ya.. not so much angle....
