If you are a GUEST or have less that 10 posts you will see a "FLOATING" ad at the bottom of your screen.

If you'd like to get rid of it, register, or make 10 posts. Yes it's a diabolical trick to get you hooked to xjtalk! :smiley-laughing021:

hey your jeep is amazing! how do you like your rear bumper from detours?

I can't tell you how proud I am of the custom front bumper they did for me, but the reason I got that custom from DETOURS was looking at the meticulous work that Mark did on the rear bumper.

It's pretty damn scary dropping a ton of money to a company that you don't know and all you can see is a picture on the Internet. Of course there was plenty of feedback on the Internet about the quality, value and strength of DETOURS products but still you just don't know, at least that's the way I am.

I was SOOO happy to get that 32" spare tire out of the cargo area. When I got the rear bumper on "Slimline" it completely changed the look at feel of my XJ.

DETOURS was coming out with a TAIL BONE at the time, which uses your existing bumper and I was very temped to go that direction, but I opted for the full bumper. If I was building a 2nd XJ I'd get the TAIL BONE and BACK BONE for the front, but for this one I had to have the full bore stuff.

Yeah I can't sing enough praises about my DETOURS bumpers.

He is "registered" (his name is blue) so I believe he shouldn't see those...

No even after being registered you will see the floating banner until you reach 10 posts outside of the new members section

Sorry for the confusion. I just checked the code and this is what it says below the ad...

"Become a xjTalk member and after your 10th post this ad disappears!"

Floating ads for those guests and new members with less than 10 posts have been turned off.

We are trying to balance the use/entertainment value of this site with the cost to run it and the wish to purchase stickers and perhaps other goodies for xjtalk members.

The floating ad may return, but it may be floating chat instead. :D

Also I'd like to figure a way that you can drag it around the screen so you can move it where you want it.
