The only pics I have of mine at the moment...

Parked next to my wife's Durango, before we sold it for the 04' Ram
http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii306/bluedragon436/XJ/IMG_1625.jpg

Three days after purchasing my Jeep, and I had removed the door side molding completely (I think it looks better that way)... and painted the faded flares and bumper end caps with Krylon Fusion paint... temp fix, but still looks good over two years later..

http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii306/bluedragon436/XJ/IMG_1639.jpg

Let me know if the pics don't work or even that they do work so I will know one way or another... as I can't currently view any pics that are hosted on photobucket or anything like that...

I actually really like it... I got some pics either on my laptop or camera, that as soon as I can get access to wireless I will post up of it with a light shading of dirt/mud.... Looks really good with mud on it, that is for sure... I love the green... I wanted the black though... but I have gotten to like that green more and more...

Red is my favorite color, but yellow, orange would have been great. Then the other side is black, dark blue, and dark green. The dark green makes the most sense to me since I identify off road with the woods and dark green would be the most stealthy.

Of course the bright colors are better to keep from getting hit. :smiley-scared002:

And here's a green one I owned in Florida but ended up just being a huge piece of shit that I couldn't afford.

Dark green is a great color for a Jeep. Very stealthy off road woods color.

I like it... I can't tell you how many Jeep owners have asked if I had the color done from another companies color.. And when I tell them it is a factory color they seem so surprised... I mean I can't say that I really remember seeing too many with my color prior to my getting it... but since I got mine I have seen quite a few.. I think it is just a color most people blank out when they think of Jeeps or something...

Nice.... another MilitaryJeepers member!!! and very nice rig you got there xjrev10!!

Im not a member. Buddy put those stickers on there.

Im not going to take any credit for this build. The guy who built it bought the Jeep (circa 2000 or 2001) with 3in lift and 32s. He used it as a DD for college. Once college was over, he did a full on build on the poor little cherokee. It was originally built on a HP44/D60 and ran 38in sx swampers. He ran it like that for years all over the US.

He ended up trading the XJ (minus the axles, wheels and tires) to a buddy of mine in trade for some tube work. So when it got into my buddy's hands he pulled the 6 in lift suspension componets and put in 4.5 RE coils with a custom leaf pack. He also added the stockish axles. He went on a couple rides and decided to build his sami. I was looking for a built rig because my local jeep club was hard at work building the new GIA trail in Northern MN and my 2000 XJ on 31s just was not cutting it for getting back on the trail to work. So I bought the thing from him.

This spring im going to go threw the thing. It has all sorts of switches from who knows what years past and other goofy things done to it that im going to change. Current specs:
97 XJ, 4.0/AW4 (with shift controller)/231 SYE,
Bombproof Motor Mounts
4.5" RE coils
TNT Long arms
TNT frame stiffeners
Custom leaf pack
14" RE shocks
35 in MTR/Ks
hp30/8.25 locked/4.56 gears
Cage
Half doors
Homebuilt bumpers
Warn 9000
12 Volt Guy winch control panel
ARB compressor (from the lockers that once where)
Fuel tank sunk into floor and covered/enclosed. Factory fill point
Hand grenade door handles (not a fan)
160k miles
Trailer tongue storage box
Highlift with custom mounting point

Plans are:
Replace rockers with 3/16 tubing and tie them into the cage.
Little bit of body work
Remove all "junk" switches and grenade door handles
Install ORO rear lights
Swap in a Super 88 ford 8.8
Cromo shafts for the 30
Rework exhaust (high clearance)

I have been the owner since Sept 2010. This thing is a extremely fun ride. It works great. I just put the 35s on it at Xmas time. Used to have 33s on it. It still cruises down the highway at 65 mph no problem. Little cold tho..

Put some bumpers on that and you can give Mudderoy a run for the prettiest Jeep.

Something about useing the word Prettiest and Jeep in the same sentence just seems wrong to me and then to brag about it

Hahahaha that's hilarious. Either way, I really appreciate it! Some bars are in the works just trying to figure out how to get money and where to put it first Haha.

Its got not carpet so I need to line the floor with some kind of off brand rhino liner (non essential at the moment lol)

Still need new axles, can't decide between a d44, Ford 9 or Chrysler 8.25. A deal hasn't really jumped out at me yet.

I may be needing some new glow plugs sometime soon.

And I really want to rebuild my transmsission (nv4500)

A bunch of other stuff too, just don't have the welding skills to do it.....yet haha

Come to Ca. and we'll swap for the weekend and go on the same trail and see what breaks ,then we'll fix them. Sounds like fun to me !!!
Actually the 12 step program is to remove glasses and take 12 steps away from Jeep,See they all look the same now

Green xj thread? I got this...

6 years ago I sold my very built yj and picked up an 89 2 door xj. It was white but I spray painted it OD green imediatly. Here it is with 4.0 5spd 6.5" short arm lift. d30/8.8 lockrite and welded rear 4.88 gears and 35" tires.
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c260/88swampedmj/campbell/Copyofxj001.jpg

had lots of fun in that one
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c260/88swampedmj/campbell/PHOT0091.jpg

then 4 years ago I bought this beauty, a 93 4.0 5spd 4x4 2 door for $600...
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c260/88swampedmj/for%20sale/DSCF0788.jpg

drove it around like this for 6 months, did a little wheelin.
http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c260/88swampedmj/campbell/P1010091.jpg

then pulled it in the back yard and built it up over the next 3 years.
