Ok just to give you a quick run down of what and how I do things I will post up the 93 2DR XJ build,..

Now I got it for free and intended to scrap it but the ol'girl but then I got a bit soft,... the Jeep had made it 531,000 Kms and it was still realitivly complete,.. it drove into the shop,.. after a mechanical once over I decided that it was mecanically plausable for rebuild.

So a breakdown of the inital issues with the 93,..

-Tboned on the passenger side door post was pushed in at least 2"
-door destroyed and fused by the pin to the b pillar
-drivers door completly rotted through
-rockers are rotted out
-floors rotted P/S full pan D/S 60% replacement
-Trunk rotted in the tail, and over frame rails
-rear quarters behind the wheels rotten
-winshield frame is swiss cheese in certain spots
-all paint has been pitted and 75% must be removed.

Now I apologize I did not start taking pictures until I was alreay b@lls deep into it so here is a picture sequence ,..

Primed, 99 clip in,.. rockers coated

You did a good job. The only thing I don't like about doing bodywork is, if you do an awesome job nobody notices, but if you mess up one tiny thing everybody points it out

Love that copper color...
Also I like you made your own paint booth, That's far out!

The colour was a Fawk up ,.. supposed to be a bright orange but when we mixed the paint too many copper pearls fell in and we could not scoop them out fast enough,..

And the paint booth,.. well I am frugal,.. Min $300.00 to rent a shotty booth at a farm for a half day,.. and I am on their time or

$75.00 - 2 used car tents w/canopy's
+$50.00 Sell one car tent to a friend
-$40.00 Poly and Tape
-$60.00 Flood lights
-$20.00 two house hold fans
-$30.00 Paint filters to fit fans

Total: $175.00 and I now can do the next paint job for just the Poly, tape and filters :)

That is a nice build up you got going with the XJ... I thought about trying my hand at my own paint job down the line a bit, as my paint is still pretty decent... but I do want to change the color on mine when I do decide to paint it...

Amazing how Rubi wheels can make something look awesome even in this stage. I am a HUGE fan of the color it turned out to be also!

Those are TJ wrangler rubicon wheels. They are 16" wheels. Hard to find nowadays but mamba wheels makes a clone and you can get them in 15" sizes.

If I could have found a decent deal on either the originals or the Mamba rims... I would have loved to have a set of those for my XJ... They always set off the vehicle they are on.. and the Rubi guys are always so quick to ditch them for the usual black rock crawler rims...

that paint booth is high-tech! I rebuilt the ford engine in my boat and sprayed it black when I was done. Couple of plastic drop sheets thumb tacked it to my garage ceiling and we were spraying!

Color is great even if by mistake. Great body work too.

Yep. I just got a set of 5 with okay rubber for cheap. Moved a burnt car 10 miles to the scrap yard for a buddy for em!!
