xjtalk business cards?

A moderator, probably over a year ago now, suggested we get business cards. I ran across a site that said they'd make them and ship them (500) for $9.99 so I gave them a try.

I kept them simple on purpose, not cost, just brief and to the point.

Thoughts? Changes? Additions?

XJ4IV... lol JK no I like em Id give em a whirl too but I think we ought to put our names on em perhaps all the MODs can get some with their own names on em or if theres a way we can get like 100 with your name and 100 with mine and 100 with Rene... and so on down the line... or even just 50 of em each? Im not being cheap Im just saying 500 is a LOT to give out is all

I'm still working on my first box of cards for my business. 200 is probably enough. You could also put "you are invited to visit" on them.

On a previous forum I was a part of, we made up cards like these, and on the back we had you were invited or spotted by and had a blank spot, so you could just order a bunch of them, and each person who wants to pay for them can get them and input their names... and that way you could leave them on vehicles you wanted to invite to the site, in case the owners weren't around... we got qutie a few new members from them.. just a thought.... but it was well worth it for the site....

It's a great idea and really makes a lot more sense than everyone having their own cards, but here's the rub. I've learned, the hard way, that mailing stuff out is very expensive. It cost $0.80 for EACH sticker I sent out! That doesn't include the time going down to the post office, envelops, labels, apply and inserting, blah blah blah. Sending out a few cards wouldn't cost as much I'm sure, but there would still be the cost and effort mentioned above.

So it dawned on me that since this company does FREE shipping on 500 cards and all I have to do is fill out the stuff on the Internet it's much easier and no cost, but my time, to me!

Also if you are interested enough in spending $11 of your money you are probably interested enough in handing out the cards! :thumbsup:

Money is money though and I don't fault anyone for not giving this a go. I just thought I'd put it out there in case someone would like them. I'm happy to order them for ya, if you pay...

BTW, I'm slowly buying the moderators business cards as donations allow. So far it's just me and BlueXJ, but rguignard is next!

I have NO problem with each individual designing and ordering their own cards.

Bad news guys. The SUPER priced business cards are so SUPER priced.

I pride myself in reading and understanding the "fine print" but this one completely got past me. Ordering these cards I enrolled (or automatically enrolled) in the Super Shipping! $0 for shipping!?!?!?! NO!!!! Being a member of the super shipping is $19.24 a MONTH!

No fight, they said they would remove me from the super shipping status and refund the charges.

IF I order from http://businesscards24.com/ again, I'll be paying for the shipping. Which sounds like it's about $6.

Oh I'm not afraid to walk up to them either... have walked up and even gotten to ride any many XJ's... so the cards would have been good for those days... but it would be nice to have them to put on someone's XJ if they happen to not be around at the time when I drive by as well... can't stalk them all the time...

Sorry for the delay, I goofed around and I was waiting on the funds to transfer from paypal to my bank account. The $18 was almost perfect. After Paypal fee's we were within 18 cents!

Yesterday there was a post on CherokeeForum.com about pcrjeep putting a xjtalk business card on their Jeep. So even though the CF member wasn't interested in giving us a try he did post on CF and xjtalk got noticed! As a result I believe we received about 3 to 5 new members.
