...actually I didn't make it the second time either. :sad0147: The Wrangler Duratrac might be an aggressive all terrain with decent lugs on the side, but I quickly found out in tick nasty mud it cakes up real quick. Oh well, I don't think I'm a fan of the mud anyway. $3 at the carwash just to clean the caked mud from the wheels so I could go over 40mph without balance issues.... Perhaps I would have felt differently if I had actually made it. :)

Mud is a lot of fun. You just need some more height. Bigger and more aggressive tires. I can see a rut in the mud that look like it was the bottom of the rear shock. So you were trying to push more things through the mud than just the tires.

Mud isn't something you do very often after you've spent a couple of hours cleaning it, and then still have mud falling off as it dries.

I understood why many of the kids didn't clean their trucks after that.

If you live in the land of eternal rain, like Western OR, then you just drive in the rain the long way home and it is almost gone when you get home. A quick trip to the car wash and it is like normal again.

That ain't stuck either. In 08 before I wrecked my 98 xj. The week before I buried it pasted the hood in mud with know one there to pull me out. It took me, my bro-in-law, a 20lb bag of kitty litter and a metal sign 2hrs to dig it down engough to back the front end out of the creek.

SOme of yall older members may remember that heep and the pics of that day. I wish I could find them I would post them.

Yeah, I don't ever want to be that stuck. I prefer, the "hey I'm stuck"...quick tug from behind..."hey I'm free" kinda stuck...

Mud is fun to play in, but the clean-up...kind of like the younger days...

Gotta love getting stuck... I got stuck on my last outting. Ran into some quicksand and suck up to my rocker panels. barried my rear 35 tires. I was out a 100 miles or there about from the nearest town which only has a few hundred residents. Luckly I wasn't alone and had a snatch block.
