what is the reasoning behind the 100 post rule?

does post count somehow relate to a persons ability to fabricate?:stars:

No, it might be the opposite :D

The idea was that we wanted people to stay here and be part of a social group that grew. Most of the people that join may never post a thing. Only lurk in the background. We have been discussing the post limitation on the fab section and have not really decided to change or keep it as is. We wanted the fab section to kind of be the icing on the cake for our members who contribute to the overall quality of the forum.

I'm sorry you are a site supporter, which means you donated some of your hard earned cash. Site Supporters are not bound by the 100 post rule. I never have advertised this because I don't want people to feel that they must donate. I just didn't think it was right to have restrictions placed on someone that donated money. It's sort of a loop hole. It appears that the Site Supporter group was never given access to the fab section, which was a mistake on my part. I'm fixing that now.

How long since you went over 100 posts, I thought I read somewhere it takes an hour or so for the server to update.

It's scheduled to run every 60 minutes. So depending on where you are in that countdown determines how long you have to wait. Could be 60 minutes to 1.

You shouldn't be able to until you hit 100 posts and the system moves you to another user group that can post to chatbox.

With all the forum sections we have that are not Jeep related, you should be able to watch the news and find plenty to post about. We all like Jeep how tos, stories, etc... but there is more to the world, and this site, than just Jeeps.

I bet the Jeep stories alone would give you 10 to 20 more posts.
