Here is a link to welding instruction for building race car chassis. These principles are applicable for all the cool stuff we make. Look closely and you can see the patterns they use on the MIG guns as well as other tips for using jigs and for welding complex stuff.

The best tool I own is my tubing cutter. perfect fit means you can get a perfect weld, or as perfect as you are capable of making. I don't have my DOM bender anymore but will be getting something that can do a wrinkleless bend when I get to building my roll bar setup for da lizard. maybe a nice hydrolic one that doesn't take up so much room. I can always sand pack the tubing to keep those nasty, weakening wrinkles from showing up.
