Very nice. Love the pictures. The more I see these MJs the more I want one. I just wish they had them in the 97+ body/interior styles.

The 87 XJ
4.0 AX 15 external slave.
Rear axle are xj d44 with zj disc brakes, AlLoy USa shafts, 4,10's and a lock right
Front axle is a 95 housing with alloy usa shafts lock right and 4.10's.. (future mod wil be WJ knuckles)

Suspension is RK 3 link in the front with bomb proof trac bar RC 4.5 springs, rear leafs are AAL and re shackle.

Cage was built by a local fab shop called Ground Pounder Fab. FX seats RCI harnesses. Gas tank skid is by skid row, rear bumper is by Tomken front bumper is home fab (will be different here soon)

Currently undergoing a doubler build up.. and 4.88's will be going into it directly. Future plans include a HP44 and a ford 9"

87 MJ is stock. It was given to me about a month ago by original owner. It is a 2wd 2.5 5spd with bucket seat, sliding window and rubber floor. It is also a Long bed.

Plans are to convert it to 4wd using an external slave AX5. And to put a nice stock looking paint job on it

90 MJ this is a 2.5 5spd short bed truck with AC, and rubber floor mat. This was a craigs list purchase 3 yrs ago. Only thing I did was swap in a better running motor, and have been driving it to and from work. I am truly resisting the urge to mod it.. even though I have al the parts to put 6.5" of lift on it

Lastly is my truggy. in the pic it was running 35's and limcoln locked 8.8, lock righ and alloys in front d30. It had the wj knuckle conversion and a few other cool things.

it is currently torn down. my CURRENT plans for it are a 231/d300 doubler, gm 1tons H1's and 42 irocs. the rear wil be a single triangulted 4 link with coils, the front wil be another 3 link setup on coils. plan on adding hydro assist too.

If you want to see more pics.. or more info on any of my rigs past and present... here is a link to my webshots page

Thats a slow build.... need to spend some cabbage on that. The tan xj is almost ready so I will be starting again on the truggy. I am still looking for some MJ bed sides in good condition

Did you change your mind from the 231/231 doubler?

I have 2 231 doubler setups.. after I bought the DD machine set up.. I took a mad rooster setup in on trade. I meant to say 231/d300 doubler.

Cool. Have you had a chance to use it?

just on and off the trailer. The 231 231 is going to be sick in my XJ. I dont think I am going to get the gear swap done in time for the event I have 13-15 of Aug. But I will still have a decent ratio being I have 4.10's in axle now.

Yes, 7.29 is a very decent ratio.

My calculations comes out to 7.398.. so 7.4:D I figure most of the time I will run around in 2w lo... Then for fun I wil drop it in low low :driving:

I have been using 2.7 and 3.8. The 10.38 I have not used except to mess around here at my place because I am not locked yet. That is a ratio that you really don't need unless locked because the wheels will just loose traction at that speed too easily. But the lockers are bought and a rear axle is sitting in the shop and half of the front is there too. I will take care of that this winter.

I have lock rights in both axles at the moment. Think I am upgrade to a spool in the rear and keep the lock right in the front. Keep in mind.. mine is just a trail rig. Hopefully I will get everything finished up on the Turd this weekend so I can run Big Dogs in 2 weeks:driving:

ah yes, deadlines. I never make them. I missed the Rubicon last year. So this year I am just wheeling it during the summer and working out a few bugs. I will build again in the winter and hopefully be ready for the summer.

Well, My plan was to have this done a month ago... but due to work, and stupid hot weather.. I am a lil behind. I can literally throw my drivers seat back in... bolt the hood back on and go.. but.... BOOTY FAb is not my style
