I do not want to get anyone's hopes up cause to find this is like getting a pic of Bigfoot .But, there is a Tranny Yoke from a GM Th350 I think from a '68-'82 truck that has 27 spline and are very cheap (If you can find one). It will match up perfectly to the TC so all you would need is a Front Drive shaft and Whop there it is. Here is a pic.

ow you still have to do the hacking and the taping but if you can find these parts at a local Junk Yard you may be able to make out with a SYE for $50 bucks.:usa:

Bigbad, Very good info! I've done the R&E H&T myself, but the TH350 yoke appears to be an inexpensive alternative.

Thanks I have the RE hack n tap and have been running it for several years and am very pleased with it. I had seen a Corvette yoke mentioned as capable of being used but this is the first GM truck yoke I have heard of. Good info.

What year Vette? It could be another to add to the list. But vettes are harder to find in a JY, but still could be useful.

Bigbad this is the link that I read that info in. Maybe you have run across Marcus' site before. If not you should bookmark it for future reference. I spend an hour or more everytime I access it.

good luck on the th350 yoke i looked for months and contacted tranny shop after tranny shop none has any and some never seen any. if you can get a dakota 231d they are the same spline as the front and just get the hack and tap round plate and cut the shaft down and bolt it on.

One question I have for Big Bad. Is this yoke threaded to accept the bolts? It doesn't look like it is in the pics. The bolt placement is slightly different for the CV yoke than for the single joint type.
