Hey there group,

I'm going to replace the distributor on my jeep today and just thought
about something, Remember the factory put a little greese on the end
of the brake light bulb sockets to keep water from rushing the
connection?
Now would it hurt to do that same for inside of the boots of the wire
that goes over the the distributor cap to keep the water out and also
keep it from rushing inside the boots?

I wouldnt think it would hurt cuz if it works for a light bulb at 12 volt
why wouldn't it work for 30,000 volts?
and I know the boots on them are tight but water can find its way
through anything.
